“Loser buys lunch” — is it just fun, or is it haram?
In Islam, making someone pay for food or a treat because they lost a game resembles gambling (maysir) — and gambling is clearly forbidden in the Qur’an. Even if it’s small or “just for fun,” it still counts if there's a condition tied to the game result.

Let’s keep our fun halal and intentional. Islam encourages kindness, fairness, and clean enjoyment.
If someone wants to treat others after losing — without a condition — that’s totally okay. But don’t risk your akhirah for a meal.
