The police saw a black man and took the chance to kill him no matter what the situation common sense would show if the man has a person up against the wall and I sure the guy told the pig who he was and that he's the one who called and I'm sure the 911 operator relayed that a male made the call, the 5 shots on the ground is egregious as best

Two things came to my mind when I read the BBC report. 1. The police officer's cam caught the fact the man and woman WHO WAS WEARING THE SKI MASK were struggling with a knife. He said, "drop the knife, drop the knife" and then fired 6 rounds into the 911 caller. So why don't 911 operators tell the police who called it in? Would have helped big time here. Even if they just told them it was a male caller. But the police officer knew there was a power struggle over the knife and fired the 6 rounds into the person least likely to have been the suspect as was made obvious by the woman wearing the ski mask.
2. Ohhhhh the irony... the Las Vegas police general counsel, David Roger said, "criminal cases require proof of criminal intent." And based on that Roger defended the police officer but called it a tragedy. So...? Police officers can be the judge and jury and empty their gun into a person even when it's unclear of criminal intent but police officers can't be charged because there's "not sufficient proof of criminal intent." Oh the irony! So they have that authority to decide whether to pursue charges for the local authority granted...or to let people go, or how they escalate or de-escalate a scene (depending on the POV)? I've said for a long time criminal science, how they define or profile criminals, how they operate...was overripe for overhaul. But you see the irony? A police officer is granted the opportunity and authority to be the judge and jury and prosecutor but the public and prosecuting attorneys have to prove a case? In my view he should not only be stripped of all of his authority, turn over his shield, and be prosecuted because there's a world of evidence he escalated a scene rather than de-escalating the scene. Why wouldn't you shoot the one wearing the mask in an armed struggle and was there another alternative? And would someone wearing a mask call 911? *"Marc in a perfect world." Stop saying in a perfect world. You're refusing to do what's right and so there's very good reason you're under judgement.
