the fan flip was like a literal switch for Marisha. Going from casual Beau expression to expressive and happy Laudna.

It's really ingenuous when you think about it. Showing the Beau side closes her posture off, flexes her bicep, and rests her hand against her torso as a reminder to pitch her voice down. Showing the Laudna side opens her up, puts her hand near her hair that Laudna's always toying with (and into a coquettish caster stance), and uses her hand placement to remind her to pitch her voice into her head register. Whether that all was intended, it's a great use of character-anchoring physicality.
