Fellow biker here, I've been using one for years. No problem at all. Hook up a second tank with a couple of inline valves and a t piece. Start up for 10 mins on diesel (kerosene is better) then valve over to a 50/50 mix of diesel/used engine oil at level 3. Back onto the diesel or kerosene for the last half hour of the day at level 6 to blow out any soot build up from the oil. (Kerosene burns cleaner by the way)

It really makes a difference in their doesn't it? I bought the kerosene/diesel bullet type used on construction sites. It heats a double car garage in 5 to 10 minutes and I installed a paddle fan on the ceiling to blow whatever heat rises, down. My only concern is breathing the fumes. It's activated via electric and has no intake or exhaust ports. Anybody know if this thing is killing me or what?

Diesel contains 10 KW of energy per litre and when burnt in these heaters, has an efficiency of 70% (30% of the heat escapes out the exhaust).
This means for every litre of diesel, youâre getting 7kw of usable heat.
ÂŁ1.50 of diesel = about 21p per KWH to run this heater.
Theyâre great in an environment where you donât have mains electric (van, boat etc), but the cost to run is virtually identical to using a mains electric fan heater.
You also donât have to worry about maintenance, carbon monoxide etc with a mains electric fan heater.
