He specifically said, “I want a nation of workers not thinkers. “This was during the industrial revolution and then the military industrial complex but nothing has changed in over 100 years. They don’t want us to know about money and they don’t want us to know about all of our rights. Otherwise, there have been another revolution already.

I really thought I'd never have a need for chemistry, algebra or physics. When I went to nursing school, I had to have enough more of those classes. I still questioned it in college, but as I began working as a nurse, I started using that info every day I went to work.
I had an economic class in junior high. It was tailored to real life needs. We were taught about balancing, buying a house or car, furniture, appliances, etc. We pretend invested in stocks... It was a good class.
Then, in college, I took an econ class. It seemed to have no attachment to anything of this earth. I asked the professor if the class was ever going to have a practical application. He said no.
