Can Turkish–Israeli ties be repaired? While Turkey and Israel had good relations since 1949, their alliance peaked in the 1990s. However, since then, the relationship has waned. This was driven by a significant rift that emerged between Ankara and Tel Aviv over the 2010 Mavi Marmara incident. Today, despite US-brokered normalisation in 2022, the two countries have again been at odds over the Gaza War. But can relations be fixed?

As Israel behaves this way, it doesn’t deserve normal relations with any country. We Turks oppose normalizing ties with Israel and believe it should face full isolation.

Why would any country wants to fix its relations with an apartheid state?
Its like asking before the 90s what country would like to fix its relations with apartheid south africa !
Turkey is looking east with Turks speaking countries, it can look at better relations with gulf states and muslim states, that kind of alliances will help Turkey economically and geo politically…. Relations with israel wont bring much to the table….

The conflict is probably more related to Cyprus than Gaza.

Erdoğan’s son captured while continuing his business with Israel and the person who published it to news with real documents got arrested by Erdogan himself. Never believe what he does or say, he supported Israel all along saying he will end Israel. I did not choose him and even, the public didn’t choose him as well. He used death people’s vote who died in Earthquake that year. He does not represent Turkish people but just his corrupted government. In last pool, when he lost all the big cities, he started to aim the opposition and arrested them if they don’t accept his offer to switch parties. A person that would do to so called his land and his people would do anything to anyone to be honest.

Israel and Turkey were part of the same country many times. Greek then Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and surely many more times. Why doesn't Turkey take their land back now?

Under Erdogan, Turkey transitioned from a democratic secular nationalist country pointed towards the future to an autocracy obsessed with with restoring a religiously based empire that collapsed over a century ago after being the "sick man of Europe". As long as Erdogan is in control and driving his country into the past, it will continue to regress economically, socially and culturally. He is combining Putin's folly of restoring a failed empire from a long past era of history with Iran and ISIS' insane fantasy of establishing a fundamentalist state based on the law and economy of an era that passed 1500 years ago. Good luck with all of that. I can only hope Israel can overcome it's current government's obsessions with the same type of insane religious and territorial ambitions.
