Honestly, all I usually need is a gaiwan. You can perfectly use a milk can or a wine jug as a gong dao bei and shot glasses or espresso cups instead of tea cups 🙌

alternatively, for a quick to-go situation, and this is usually what i do when i know i’ll be at a non tea drinker’s house, you can take a strainer basket, fill it with the tea you want to use, cover the top with foil or something, put that inside a masor jar (at least 1000mL size) and now, when you get where you’re going, you pop out ur jar and ur tea, boil water, and just pour it into the strainer with tea in it to steep in the mason jar, and remove basket when brew is complete. :)

As some that only got an electric kettle recently and is never going back, new fear unlocked I guess. All jokes aside I love the balance of having the one larger cup and three smaller cups since usually I am the only one drinking tea but always offer to share.

I bough myself a cheapo teaset. Drank out of it for 6 months and I really enjoyed coming back to my main set up.
I’m working on a kit for my sister, in a couple of weeks I’ll post it.

@DartAlonge I've seen your Pelican case in a previous video - looks great! But it looks like you have special foam cut-outs inside to specifically fit your teaware.
