There's nothing like home. It's not the buildings, the roads or the food. It's the sense of belonging. You don't realize how important it is to belong until you don't. My heart goes out to you sis❤

I was born and raised in England but only got the chance to go and visit my homeland of The Gambia when I was 23... I fell in love with the country and African and didn't want to go back to England. I balled my eyes out when it was time to leave.

Partly because I felt I was sold a lie about African my whole life...😢 I couldn't stop thinking about going there and rebuilding my life.

Until God made a way for me...

I now live in Kenya and haven't looked back.

I feel your pain dear 😢 bless you ❤God will make a way for you too

Left Africa a young teenager, but after 20+ years of schooling, living, working and integrating well in the West, I see my spirit still craving and longing to relocate back to Africa as I get older.

East, West, North or South...Home is Home! ❤

Me too. I had the same reaction anytime I go to Akebu-land and I have to come back here, I felt the same way. I totally understand you. I felt connected with the soils, the smell, the people, the foods, the musics, the smiles, the gestures. I felt me through my cores. I just want to lay on the ground and hold on to it and never let it go.
I really feel you love.

Despite all of its issues, this is how I feel when leaving Nigeria. America is stressful, while Africa delivers a feeling of peace mentally and physically.

Oh my god. I knows exactly how she feels. I do this everyday for the past 29 years. It still feels like I am empty without my family. It’s something not many can relate to. No matter what I have here and don’t there I still miss my home. Sweet sweet TRINIDAD.🇹🇹. I just got back home after not seeing my family for 14 years. I finally went home for a vacation. I stayed for 24 days and it’s been five months since I got back home here and I still can’t stop crying to go back I miss my home and I miss my family so daily every single d
