As a Floridian, the rule of thumb is "If there's water, there's gators".

So, essentially, pushing someone into the water in Florida automatically brings up an attempted murder chargešŸ™„

As a Floridian, this is normal life. Unspoken rule is always assume there are gators in the water, never dangle your feet in the water, don't let your children or pets near the water, and always look at your surroundings if you near the water because gators are quiet and can sneak up on ya.

Imagine your friend pushing you in as a joke and forgetting you're in Florida.

A friend from Florida told me once to not worry about the gators. They won't hurt you. I told her that was the same thing we tell tourists in East Tennessee about bears. I don't think she got the sarcasm.

The fact that he can just submerge a few feet below the water surface and become completely invisible is scary af

The fact that they disappear so close to the surface is horrifying.

It's the way they just disappear and appear from the murky water šŸ˜³

The thing that Floridians are always taught since a young age, donā€™t go near bodies of water without caution.

Never has a more Floridian conversation taken place.
ā€œThatā€™s a big gator!ā€
ā€œNah, thereā€™s one bigger than that!ā€

Yea in Florida the saying is pretty much "if you cant see the bottom, there is a gator" it's held true pretty much since I've moved here.

As someone who lives in Florida, basically every pond or lake has gators in it

Floridian man here, never get into any water that you canā€™t see through because thereā€™s gators in EVERY body of water. Even retention ponds EVERYTHING has gators
