You know the towel thing from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy “now, THERE’s a bloke who REALLY knows where his towel is”. If you get chance to listen to the original BBC radio play of that series, I highly recommend.

I have been using microfibre towels (like your adventure towel I think!) for years, and they are great! They can take a bit of getting used to, as they aren't always good for the brisk run-down that you can do with a regular towel! However they do dry very well, and they also dry themselves quickly if left in the fresh air!

Or buy a cheap ass beach towel use it during your stay, then leave it behind .....pass it on and on and on. They are cheap why bother packing it in the first place.
