Yap or u can have his butt stuck on the church entrance walls as long as u keep close to him, he will keep attacking the walls and wont be able to break thru the entrance, either with his shield bash or charge, it gonna make him get stuck there. You can also run away then sneak up and boom, easy hit, but thats long.
