This is a time lapse film of two basil plants. The basil to the right is outperforming the basil to the left because I water it with liquid compost I make from my kitchen waste.
Every day I collect all of my kitchen waste into this bin. This is an example of one day’s worth: Egg shells, grapes, coffee grounds and filter, apple core, spinach, brussel sprouts, potato peels.
Every day I dump my kitchen waste into my compost bin that is located in my garage.
The composter is filled with 50 gallons of water that is constantly mixed and aerated with an industrial air pump.
I also add paper and cardboard products.
Every day I fill my watering container with the compost liquid and water my gardens.
