Would be great ! Have you had rose hip tea? Made with the “DogRose” hips that is a cure all fruit and in the UK grows wild along roads , & paths. There are a variety of things we add to it and order organic items. From Peppermint leaves, dried chamomile flowers, ground ginger, and honey (make sure it is honey without corn syrup or sugar that is used in some brands. These are what we add. You can add what you like. Read about the benefits of Rose Hips (which btw is added in tiny ground amounts to most VitaminC) pills but the tea needs fresh or dried hips. The hips have tiny hairlike structures around the seeds. When fresh ripe and soft they can be eaten. If you order dried hip pieces the hairs are very stiff and sort of pokey so I get them out using a clean paint brush bc I don’t use tea bags. I eat everything in the tea bc it tastes so good and softens in the steeping process.
RoseHips come from “Dogrose” but does not mean they are dog food. Dogs can eat them which is how they got their name so long ago. The hips are bright red shaped like grape tomatos but taste like a sweet Apple to me. Once dried and broken into pieces, they appear dark red/burgandy. Since they have many medical benefits, they should be eaten in a dose Amt best for you. I add 1tsp per cup of tea. The other ingredients add to taste. Or you might find them a tasty part to add to your tea here since they are good with blue berries! I will often add frozen organic blueberries since they are sweeter than fresh ones.
If you want to share with your pet, be careful as there are many herbs and spices they cannot eat safely. Check with your vet.
My dogs like the dried pieces of hips, a 1/8th tsp ginger organic and honey. Or they will eat just the dried hips. Make sure to check with your vet before giving a new herb/spice or food. If you go by internet advice only use Vet endorsed sites as the others are companies trying to sell their product so information may not be accurate.
I love this tea and the medical benefits it gives!! I will try your tea with hips added😋
