GTA 4 also has WAY better physics with the euphoria ragdoll, and weapon damage. They actually try to balance and grab onto where they were shot at
Meanwhile GTA 5 they just plop to the ground eating bullets (getting shot multiple times and not dying) and they don't even try to balance or grab onto where they were shot at.
GTA 3 though was pretty realistic with nice gore animations
