Just reminds me of the concept/idea that archaeologists in the future will be trying to create a narrative about us in the present simply based off our trash lol

The sewing needle design hasn't changed for at least 50,000 years, the definition of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

yknow, it definitely makes sense that clothes developed because of an ice age

Our ancestors painstakingly made clothing with bone-carved needles so that we could order and discard low quality clothing from Temu every month

I'm so glad they had things to wear. It's so miserable to be cold.

The fact that he didnt say how many stonehenges is 170,000 years ago made me extremely disappointed

keep up the good work manz! 💫 love the extra info/history as opposed to garbage. especially as our gov is seemingly more focused on erasing/burning history rather than preserving and protecting it

I've been in the Oregon shoe cave! Its surprisingly small for how many specimens they found in the dig. The landscape is high desert now, but back 10k years it was a lush lake area with vast grasslands where the material for the shoes came from.

Maybe that's why we evolved the sensation of feeling very uncomfortable and cold when we're not wearing any clothes, even if the room is warm

I always think about the first people to get wasted on purpose. Like... Figured out things like marijuana, alcohol, and magic mushrooms.

Beyond being for temperature regulation, humans have also used clothes to prevent sunburn. Only makes sense for people to develop clothing pretty early on.

Funnily enough, I first found this out in a vampire novel. Peeps by Scott Westerfield. It's vampires exist due to a parasite, every other chapter discusses different real life parasites.
