I've been in 40 to 45 ft seas that were rolling. I thought I was dreaming, but the S/V handled it well. Alternatively, anything cresting in open water presents the worst potential scenarios.

As a retired helicopter crew chief, I have done rescue hoist checkouts over our hundred times, I almost always get a gut check when open that door. I find it almost inconceivable that a guy will get out of a perfectly good helicopter, to go rescue someone who is having the worst day of their life, making the best day. God Bless these Rescue Swimmers!
