After reading a bit too much technical stuff about the diameter of the frontal elements on some lenses and how much it matters for the image quality I wanted to try out a few things for myself. And my first question was:

WILL A BIGGER LENS BE ABLE TO CAPTURE MORE LIGHT?

To test that out I set up the camera manual in a controlled studio environment and took the same photo with both of the lenses. The answer was very clear. And the shots were exposed exactly the same.


This may be just a silly experiment but if you have any other ideas like these let me know.
