Important to note ⬇️
Great news is both tech and non tech companies are hiring for this role and you can enter it from any background!
First let me clarify that program manager is more senior role than project manager (many people confuse the two). While project managers are responsible for individual projects, program manager are strategic managers who help achieve a larger organizational goal.
⚒️ Skills you need for program management roles:
Project management
Communication
Data analysis
💼 Here is a roadmap for it:
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, engineering, information technology, or related fields is good enough.
Master’s Degree (Not Mandatory, But Beneficial) - again any business or engineering field works
Having experience as a project manager is a significant advantage.
If you’re a recent graduate, focus on building project management experience through entry-level project coordinator roles.
If you are a career changer, consider an MS or relevant certifications to bridge the knowledge gap
📃 Helpful certifications:
Program Management Professional (PgMP): Offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Earning certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 can also be beneficial, especially if project management experience is limited
PS. Want the list of companies sponsoring H1B for it now? See the previous reels on our page!!
Sharing in good faith, hope you find it helpful

I know someone who has done their B.Pharm in India, but would like to have a non-coding STEM-related job with an opportunity to do "artsy" things like, say graphs, charts, etc. Would you recommend this role for this person or any other role which may correlate to their edu background and also fulfill their inner desire? "Art" is the keyword here.
