I personally put brake quiet on the back of the pad, but thats cause i work in a shop. Grease on the back is a great idea if you dont have access/ money to buy a can of brake quiet

Clean your bracket with a wire wheel before putting on the stainless clips. Southern states forget about rust and dont see it as a problem. Had vibrations and sticking pads form people doing brakes improperly not cleaning hubs, wheels and not cutting rotors. If your car has cheap rotors replace dont cut its often cheaper. Easy pezy but probably the most common thing to be done wrong. I dont understand people trying to save 200 to 300 bucks on brakes by not cutting or replacing. Yeah ill do the job again but gotta pay me again.

Slide piins ,or under the fitting shims design pending to stop rust jacking, say you fit brake pads grease them up ,take the brakes apart a year or two later ,how much grease is on the pads ,,,mmmmm non and guess what they wont be making a noise !

No. Don't put it anywhere except the slide pins! They are covered by rubber boots so the grease is not exposed. Anywhere else is going to collect contamination and will turn "sticky" causing the problem you're trying to avoid. All contact points should be clean and dry. No lube! No manufacturer lubes ANY external contact points of OE brakes. Be careful with what you hear...

Only grease slide pins. Nothing else. Those clips are stainless steel buddy.

Do not add grease to those areas ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Clean those areas and lube the slide pins. Every time i have to re-check someones work because of noise they have grease slobbered on the back of the pads and on the fitting kit. The manufacturer didnt do it and you shouldn't either. That car aint coming back for brake noise after I'm done cleaning and correcting the mess
