What about Eve? It is nice bike. Good idea is simply to put hub-motor rear, no chain or belt because motor-rollers suffer extremely on any torque pressure and peak bumps. Hub motor is heaven. Simply replace it, probably you won't need controller changes (if you match it). Might try factory support for controller specs (angle / poles)? Or simply see the motor specs (V) and something similar? Or just repair it with highest quality ball-bearings. Hub motor recommended Sinotech (Wuxi), Qsmotor and Ymotor are good but higher prices, any offer controllers too.
Go for EV.
