I believe it depends on the number of factors for each possible combined value of the dice rolls. Number 2 only has one factor, which is one, making the probability 1/12. A number like 7 on the other hand has multiple factors each dice could be either 1,2,3,4,5, or 6, making the probability of getting a combined dice roll of 7 significantly higher.

Also one imp probability concept..dice throw is an independent event...so probability distributions of sum of the nos folllws normal distribution ( gaussian)
