The Abrams can definitely go faster than 42 mph

Not too many misconceptions, first of all the slanted armor is not really for deflection but to also increase the effective armor thickness as by slanting the armor the thickness is increased, the 42mph speed is on what is called “ideally trafficable soil” aka concrete. In practice cross county 25mph is more realistic. As for comfort riding in any tank is an assault on your senses. Try hitting a bump at speed and you will bounce all around inside the tank. The roar of the engine, the whine of the turret traverse, the smell of oil and fuel, and the continuous shaking takes quite awhile to get used to.

It is about obsolete. A target that requires a lot of money and maintenance. Don't cheap drones take them out? I remember those videos of fighter jets destroying Iraq tanks because they got hot and left an easy-to-detect signature. Tanks are a boondoggle like the Osprey aircraft.
