Your vids are always helpful to me. Tbh I have my final yr ug cycling exams starting tomorrow (9 theory exams w/o any break between them) and my parents kept calling frequently/urgently. I thought it was cause they wanted to talk about my exams tomorrow (as I'm very tensed/frustrated cause of job prospects and PG program etc) as everything depends on how my score in these exams and that's a scary thought for a 18yr old. But when I picked up the phone I realised I couldn't have been any more wrong!
One you would think they're calling to support or wish me the best for my exams tomorrow but NOo the first thing (literally before anything) I heard was "why are you not on your way to this other competative exam" via mum while my dad mumbles in background angrily and the second thing they asked was "why did you really pay for the application then!?/ Is there still time for you to catch a ride to get to center?" After which I replied good morning and I'm not going cause I'm not wasting my 8 hrs of the day for this competitive exam when I have my uh exams tomorrow!
I had made it very clear from the beginning that I was not going to prep for this other exam(it serves no purpose) as I didn't have time either (as I had other 3 competitive exams to attend which served the purpose) and I was pressured into filling the form by my parents even though I made it very clear that this exam is a waste of money and time and I will not attend it if it interferes with my ug exams. I just want to chop off something now.

Chopping my hair off was one of the best things. I give myself a buzz cut every month or two now. I also wanna dye my hair but I am waiting for some unknown reason for that. I also have been debating a tattoo but don’t think I would like one.

After each of my babies were born I always feel this intense overwhelming feeling of being lost in my life. I always, 4 for 4, have a sudden urge and follow through with an extreme hair cut.
I think it's fair that I was on the cusp of a mental breakdown every time.

Dyed the entire rainbow color by color including all browns and blondes and pastels and ended with box black, then undercut, then full shave (including brows), an endless cycle of bangs and growing them out. Yup. Been on a journey to consciously grow out my natural color for 1,5 years fighting the urge to change because it's become such a pattern

But then I realised I did chop my hair off multiple times as I prefer wearing it long.
Currently growing it out as hair chalk is cheaper than a wig and I want to cosplay for halloween xD

In the past couple of years I (39) have started coloring my hair a variety of vivid colors. Now just a few months a go I got my hair chopped with an undercut. My hubby thinks it’s my midlife crisis. I think I am finally doing what I want because I have dropped the weight of other peoples’ opinions. I think the difference here is that my changes were all over-thought vs being impulsive.
