Instead of doing this,you can move the 1 to the other side and get 1/x=6-1
1/x=5--->now multiply both sides by -1,so as to find the value of -1/x
-1/x=-5
Then you plug the value of -1/x in the 2nd equation and then find its value:
1-5=-4
