Coconut oil on your nipples between will prevent cracking and help healing. Its also a natural antifungal and doesnt need to be wiped off before feeding baby, just let it dry before feedings.

Instead of velcro sleep sacks I got these felt closure ones that worked great & made little noise to undo/no disturbance of the little baby

For boobs: A bit of breast milk plus silver cups (silverettes) works amazingly to moisturize nipples and prevent cracks.

For down there: Frida Mom's perineal ice packs + full-coverage cooling pads + cooling foam are a soothing Trifecta.

Witch Hazel... absolutely saved me after having my daughter. Sprinkled it on my maternity pads OR I'd pop a bit in my peri bottle (with water). It helped with the pain soooooo much.

I had emergency c section but I became quite swollen a few days later, it was crazy painful! I can't imagine how it would have been if I was fully dilated ๐Ÿ˜… witch Hazel. Trust me it's worth it.๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Lanolin for the nips if breastfeeding. Enough sai

I tried to start the Vit D drops in the hospital but then the nurse freaked out & said that โ€œwe canโ€™t start anything without an orderโ€ (medication/ supplement- wise).

& Then the first thing our pediatrician asked was โ€œare you using vitamin D drops?โ€ ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€

Nursing pads, because I woke up drenched in milk all the time. Got washables ones first because it seemed more sustainable, but then I used a sample pack from the medela nursing pads and those held soooo much more milk. Also, my nurses and friends told me not to use a doughnut pillow for the wounds down below but to instead sit on hard surfaces like an office desk chair or a wooden bench if you have one (or a large book). Seems counterintuitive but it works so much better than soft seats because it puts pressure on the wounds instead of letting all the blood pool there.

I second the hydrocolloid gel padsโ€ฆ. And store them in the fridge! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ
After 8 babies, I found the zipper-only swaddle sacks are the best! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ No more Velcro for meโ€ฆ and baby sleeps through diapering when youโ€™re not making all that Velcro n

Desitin for diaper rashes, gripe water, and if you bottle feed, make sure you have the correct sized nibs for your bottles, we learned the hard way the hospital only gave us premie size. ๐Ÿ˜…

My babies were 7, 8, and almost 10 pounds. Premie diapers would have been a waste. We skipped newborn with the biggest...

I had mine back in the day ๐Ÿ˜‚ when people were scandalized about using adult diapers PP. That was a life saver after my first birth. A hand pump, and leak pads were important.

If I were having a baby now, or my adult child was, my #1 item to get would be the PP cart or basket full of a nice travel mug, snacks, and other basics like nipple cream and wipes

The sleep sack and a clock for breastfeeding. Turns out my baby hated being swaddled. Oh, well.

Use your breast milk to soothe your nipples no need for expensive creams or butters itโ€™s a waste of money I just had a baby two months ago take it from a new mom who bought all those products and itโ€™s of no use smh
