If you're cruising in an Old Town Sportsman AutoPilot, you need to be carrying around these 3 spare parts.
First, is the kill switch key if you lose that, you're motor cannot get power and you'll be paddling that barge until you can replace it.
Second, is make sure you have multiple prop pins. The prop pins are designed to break when the prop hits something hard enough so you don't damage the prop, or the motor. They're super cheap, so I like to buy 5-10 at a time.
The last thing is a spare prop nut. If you have to take your prop off to clean behind it while on the water and happen to drop it in the water, you're going to out of luck.
