Generally for public personalities it's an idea to open stuff well away from your home or work BTW.
Someone sends you a mobile phone that's sending location data, or even air tags these days i guess. Then they will have your location.
Open them at the po box especially somewhere they have camera coverage ideally.

to be honest if thre is mazmat stuff inside it´s not a bad idea to put it in a sturdy box inside the cardboard box. Like how many packages have you gotten that had holes or severely bend corners! but I would also like to have a label on the metal box that gives some more insight to hat it contain so you can wear proper equipment. like it is a powder that might have become loose and you should wear a mask?

I stopped letting people send me stuff after I got a very high dose of radiation from some glass tubes of tritium that broke as I was opening the package.
