It's a Nintendo GameCube. It was Nintendos' first CD game. All the systems before it were a cartridge based unit. It is a great system.

I remember doing physical therapy in like 2014 after messing up my hand, and one of the things they wanted me to do in spare time in the rehab was work on hand dexterity with a game controller playing some obscure driving game, which happened to be on a GameCube they had
The therapist asked me if I knew what a GameCube was, while making it sound very archaic and clearly doubting that I knew what it was
I couldn’t believe even then it was already apparently that unknown to youth, and so 11 years later this reminds me of a time I felt old, which is now doubled and makes me feel ancient

This was my oldest son’s (25 years old) first game console! My daughter who’s 1.5 years younger grew up playing it too. Then my nephew who’s five years older passed his XBOX down when he got the newer version. Game Cube was a big part of early Gen Z’s childhood!

Turok Evolution was awesome, the Tarzan surfing game, Dragon Ball Z,Smash Bros Brawl and Melee. Such a weird but awesome console and controller. I loved how insanely wacky that controller was😂
