It's so hard for me to watch arcane for the same reason it's hard to watch bates motel.
Bates motel is a prequel inspired series to the famous classic horror movie psycho. About a man who goes insane for reasons we are not so sure about and becomes a killer, but it is hinted heavily his mother is at fault.
In bates motel we are given a loveable and adorable kind hearted boy who is revealed to be the younger version of "psycho". In the series you love him, you want to chear for him and his family, but you know no matter how much you wish things could change, because this is a prequel, he is doomed to become psycho eventually
Arcane i don't know if it's intentional by taking notes from bates motel, but regardless, it does an amazing job replicating this feeling for me.
Just like how norman is doomed to become psycho
Powder is doomed to be jinx, she has crossed the line of no return just as norman had.
