1️⃣ Apply within 48 hours of a job opening.

In my junior year, I kept track of how long I applied after a specific internship application opened.

The ones where I applied within 24-48 hours led to more interview invites and recruiter phone screens.

The ones where I applied a few days or weeks after led to more rejections or ghostings.

2️⃣ If you want more interviews, go to in-person conferences.

Throughout my college journey, every in-person career conference I attended led to onsite interviews, post-event interviews, recruiter phone screens, referrals, and more.

You can often get fully-funded scholarships to attend these conferences by volunteering, asking your school, asking university organizations, etc.

3️⃣ Make yourself as visible as possible.

Bringing visibility and exposure to your work, skills, and talent both online and in-person will accelerate your career so far as a college student.

Some ideas include pitching yourself at conferences, winning hackathons, networking at events, creating LinkedIn content, and more.
