We cannot seem to grow a watermelon to save our lives 😂 It’s actually been a joke because I can usually grow about anything. This year I decided not to plant them at all— but this plant popped up as a volunteer under our greenhouse, and, irony—it might just be our shot! 🍉

I’ve gathered three tips from friends and farmers about when to harvest:
1️⃣ Put a straw on top—if it spins, it’s ready.
2️⃣ Flip it over—the bottom should be washed out and pale.
3️⃣Check the stem and leaves—yellowing and worn means it’s time.
