Shit like this always happens when a person is completely lacking in common sense and has control of a forklift that they have no right to be operating. Test for operating a forklift should be about obtaining a license, but 90% of the test should be hands-on to see if they actually have some basic knowledge and stand a chance of every operating one in a business environment. Just like drivers' license tests in cities where it snows and the roads freeze up, they should only be offered to the general public during the months of January, February, and March because if you can't drive in those month correctly then a person has no right at all to drive in any month. That's one of the biggest problems with people that drive today. They took their road test in the summer but have no clue at all how to drive in the snow, so let's give them a license, knowing they don't stand a snowballs chance in Hell of making it 1 week without being in or causing an accident.

All these companies r to blame really, they should make sure these people get properly trained first!! I went through 3 days training before i was issued a forklift license!! Im sure it would be cheaper for the companies to get these people trained first rather than the cost of all the materials lost!!

I work with a 22 year old , he drives the lift so fast and is always hitting stuff and knocking product off the pallets. I tell him to go slow and easy and save yourself much trouble. He never listens.
