It blows my mind when companies do this as if the average person doesn’t have a phone in their pocket where they can just look up the price elsewhere 😂 They must really think their customer base is dum

The affluent demographic they market to and has been successful for them doesn’t price match or shop at discount retailers online which is why you never hear about knife guys and overly expensive knife purchases from REI. They go to Blade HQ or The Knife Center as you showed example of. They cater to the demographics which make them successful as REI does.

Crazy? Unreal?! What’s going on with/at REI? They are clearly trying to improve the sales but adding junk-grade brands and gauging prices isn’t the way to get there!
