Highly recommend Tempo by Bayer.
It comes in powder or liquid. I had hornets behind the siding in the wall of a structure outside.
A few puffs of the powder and problem solved. I applied it with a powder bulb applicator.
Note, I went through 3 cans of the jet stream and foaming spray. The hive only got bigger from that.

Love the inventiveness. I modified a Christmas light setup/takedown pole to hold a cup of diatomaceous earth so I can dump on the ground nests when they appear. (Edited inventory to inventiveness)

Yep, that'll do er all right. Finish it off with baking soda powder or mule team borax, cap with plastic wrap/rubberband. Done deal.
