I mean... it CAN be manipulative. Some people can cry on command to make themselves look like the victim (when they're not). But yeah, crying because you have the genuine urge to cry is definitely NOT manipulative

To clarify: crying because you genuinely want to, is not manipulative. Crying is only manipulative when the person crying is consciously trying to manipulate someone BY crying. And it's not ok to assume someone is being manipulative when crying, because there's always the chance that you're wrong, and you could make a person who already feels like shit, feel even worse
