Are you allowed to mark and lift the ball in the rough to check if itās yours? I thought thatās the case in the fairway but not sure about rough

Stroke Play. Player A hits wrong ball, followed by Player B hitting wrong ball. Both Players finish the hole with the wrong ball, and do not realize the error until the next tee. Titleist 3 ProV1 and Prov1x. For a stroke play event, DQ? Or 2 two stroke penalties of each Player?

So if you lose a ball the penalty is always stroke AND distance? I was under the impression you take a stroke penalty and drop in the area it was most likely lost....?

Talk about a mistake that you CAN NOT make in a stroke play tournament. Imagine you lose the original ball, and have to re-tee hitting 6... Brutal.

Letās assume it was his tee shot that he couldnāt find and played a wrong ball from. So, tee shot 1, penalty 2 and 3. He goes back to the tee box to play 4, my question is, Is he allowed to tee his ball up or does he have to drop within one club length?
