Idk how true it is but I read a comment online from a lady who said shes a descendant of a NY area Native American tribe and that their is a old story that's been passed along within their tribe and it described a "strange" people who "came from the sea", long beards... they "had skin like stone" (describing pale skin?) and wore clothes that made their arrows bounce off it.

Nope, the vikings only went west to follow the tales of s St Bendan, an irishman, or to follow fleeing Irish monks. They even named part of Iceland after the Irish. Specifically, "Vestmannaeyjar" which was named for the "vestmann" or "west men" which were the Irish. Even in their own sagas they acknowledge this. They didn't take credits for Achievements they did not accomplish themselves. The Irish Catholics were the First in the Americas.

Neither vikings or Columbus discovered shit. How can they discover a place that was already occupied with people and well established customs. Its not some unihabited place to be discovered. They were simply introduced to a place that was already well established and had been for thousands of years.
