Well I did have ugly stick gx2 fling the top section off every 3rd cast. Got rid of it real quick.

I just got a major craft benkei 4 piece rod. It’s amazing. Planning on getting 2 more. I had no issues and it’s super sensitive. I’m going to Belize and Florida this year so I’m going to need at least 3 combos

Fly fishing rods are usually mulit piece and work fine. I prefer 1 piece, but i won't knock multi piece rod

I find it funny that lots of people say this. I prefer 2-piece travel rods. One they are easier to store in my trunk and two when I go on an ATV day out on the trails, I can store it in the rear cargo area without the tip snapping off.

I would say that atleast 95%of all rod in sweden are 2piece, and they don't break apart when geting a 10+kg pike and you can feel a 150g pearch. (not the smae rod ofc).

That is correct. I have a 4.5 meter. 3 peace shimano surf rod and it's been all over the world for 27 years. Never failed me.

I have fished for nearly 25 years and I have had 1 2 piece rod snap that was like many years old. If you treat your equipment right and buy quality then your stuff will last.

I have had my fly rod top section take flight and other rods come in half but these were all lower end rods.i have a 2 piece bfs rod from kastking that has been great

if any of you guys want multi-pieces rod; just stick high-end one; the low budget (cheap) one; the connection suck; plust cheap multi-pieces rod the rod company don't have/do quality check at all; so the connection area that joint the piece together is very loose

You do lose some sensitivity with each joint. But if you pay more and get a rod with a decent connection they don't tend to come apart as easy during casts as cheaper ones or ones with short or non tight connection. Rods are definitely made better now than in the past too lol. I don't use two or more piece rods unless they are 10' or longer jigging rods for crappie lol.

I've never had an issue with multi piece rod failing, but I have had issues with a long rod not being transportable.
