John told us if some Christian leaves the faith,he wasn't one to begin with.
That person was never born again and therefore never really knew God nor did God know him or her,as Jesus said not everybody who calls me Lord Lord will enter into the kingdom of Heaven but he who does the will of My Father which is in Heaven and we know that the command of the Father is eternal life and that whosoever believes on the name of His Son shall be saved. We need to repent meaning change our mind about sin and about Christ and actually genuinely believe that Jesus is Messiah and ask of Him to forgive and to give us eternal life,we confess Jesus as Lord and in that moment we are saved if we are genuine about it,God puts His Holy Spirit in us and we are sealed until the day od redemption so yes,once saved always saved is true and why is it so hard for people to believe this biblical doctrine idk,must be part of the end days deception and perhaps apostasy.

I’m curious about this issue of punishment in religion. I find this a lot in the Bible where God has to discipline us if we do wrong kinda so we learn.. and sometimes it’s by giving us a beating.. And I kinda get where this culture of punishment is coming from and why some traditions or schools of Christianity use that.. but then there’s also this side to it where we should be long suffering and patient and forgiving and turn the other cheek and stuff like that.. and I’m curious about where does what apply? I’m confused as I grew up in a very strict catholic home not nearly as strict as my father when he was a child though..

Jehovah witnesses always follow scriptural guidelines on these matters in fact what did Paul say? Remove the wicked man. And if he wants to leave let him go why stop him.
