NTA She's not obliged to take care of a child her cheating husband randomly made with a Homewreacker. It's good enough she let him and the baby stay for 4 whole months but taking care of it will remind her of getting cheated. Her own children are grown ups and she doesn't want to take care of the child, so it's okay. The only AHs are the baby's parents.

YTA. Listen, I get where OP is coming from with her boundary, but she should’ve just divorced her husband from the start. The expectation of living with a child that you’re going to have nothing to do with is ridiculous, and unfair to the child, who did nothing wrong. Imagine growing up in a household with your dad and his wife who goes out of her way to have nothing to do with you. When that kid showed up at OP’s doorstep the only fair options were to divorce the father and let him raise the kid on his own or stay with her husband but accept the kid. Staying with the cheating husband but denouncing an innocent child just seems wild to me.
Edit: relistening to the story I realize she IS divorcing her husband, so now I don’t know where I stand lol

I understand it's not your child but if you forgave him it should not be placed on the child Child Protective Services is not a safe place for children people that have not had to deal with the child protective system don't realize that there's more bad people out there than there are good and most of them are just doing it for money I would never put a defenseless baby they didn't ask to be in this world and had no choice on where he ended up I do think you are wrong that is my personal opinion as an adult that had to deal with that system as a child it can do lifelong damage I don't blame you for feeling the way you do but after all you are an adult and that baby it's defenseless and has nobody looking out for him

Nta at least you gave someone a chance to get the baby before trying to send it away. That's the only thing your obligated to do imo.
