If the Devil is real, then you would see evidence of his grip on this world. The Bible describes him as a liar and the Father of lies (John 8:44), a schemer (Ephesians 6:11), and an adversary who prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

Look around us. This world is full of lies, falsehoods and half truths. Disinformation, misinformation and malinformation has skyrocketed in the age of fake news, photoshopping, phishing, conspiracy theories and deep fakes.

We have to strive searching for the truth or else we end up believing the Devil's lies, leading to destruction. The most obvious example of this is the Nazis using political propaganda, termed the "big lie", to turn German sentiment against the Jews and justify the Holocaust, which led to over 6 million deaths. In fact, World War 2 began by Germany invading Poland on the lie that Poland had attacked first.

Why is the truth so hard to find? Because we've lost God and in doing so embraced sin and the Devil. Jesus said "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14 v6). And "But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me." (John 8:45)
