Also understanding that tests arent made to be a challenge, but made to show your understanding of the coursework is a big +. Overthinking every question when one answer just screams at you for being right is dumb, just follow your gut bcuz calm and critical you is much smarter than panicked you

I was an average student throughout my whole school life except the last year, which was the deciding year since I needed to get good marks to get into the college. Since I knew I am not good at studying, I didn't focus on getting good marks, I improved my schedule and was consistent with my studies. Since I was not smart, my only option was revising and revising. I never understood a concept in one go and always had to read it multiple times just to understand it. However, I made it a habit, if I don't understand it the first time, rather than dropping it, I keep reading it 5 times. Even if you don't try to understand just read, there will be a point where something strucks and you get the idea behind it. Then you keep revising it for 7 times, 7 days straight. I read that during school times if you read something 7 times for 7 days, you will remember it by heart. And it did worked for me. I remembered the concepts well, for longer and rather than memorize everything, I started to understand them. Then studying wasn't that big of a deal for me and I got into top 3 in my final exams in my class and got into the kind of college I wanted to be in. I still remember my family distributing sweets to neighbours because they never expected that I will get such great marks and will get into college. Lol.

have you ever not gotten straight a’s before or struggled?
I’ve always had As but it’s always either been very easy or a full struggle. So i’ve just concluded it seems like whether securing A is possible or not comes down to as long as you complete all assignments well by asking for help and if you are knowledgeable enough of the subject before taking the class for tests (the difference between a high A, a low A, a B, and lower. )
imo in terms of advice, just telling someone to be efficient isn’t effective if there’s a serious lack of knowledge or you’re learning something completely new and challenging.
From hearing from classmates that struggle to get As is that the biggest problem is not having foundational knowledge, poor memorization talent, or the natural talent to comprehend something easily the first time.
For that reason, I think it’s be better advice for people struggling to keep straight As or struggling to even get Bs is to say that taking your time to have a deeper understanding and more foundational knowledge is more important to learn first if you have a deficiency in talent in memory or comprehension.

I have always found it a help when i actually listened to the teachers lecture in class b4 blindly copying down the notes i remember those moments and have a better understanding of that topic and another thing i found helpfull was completing my daily portions daily and i would practice maths every single day i would do all of this in the time span of 2 hours and the day b4 finals i revise the subject very well and study for the next 3 hours if i finish my revision early i would start learning other subjects so i could finish my revisions of the subjects without tension
