nail tech here! regular gel polish self-levels so doing art with it can be really tricky since it tends to spread out. it’s worth buying a gel paint pot for art since it’s more opaque and it doesn’t spread at all before it’s cured. makes a huge difference :)

Instead of doing the petals inwards out, try doing them outwards in. That might help make them look better 😊

Once the base color is on, you can lightly buff it to make it matte. That will allow the flowers to keep their shape better. Also, you can paint the leaves in white first and then put the green on. That will make the green pop more. I love this design, it's so cute.

these look so cute 🌼 I tried a similar design on my nails recently and after many struggles I found it a lot easier to use a dotting tool for the flower petals - just do a small dot and drag it towards the center. Flash curing every once in a while also helps to not mess up the shapes 💅 hope this helps

Wipe the tacky layer off 1st. It makes gel slide around on top of it when doing art. Otherwise, try doing it on a matte top coat, or lightly buff 1st.

They look great! If the petals are giving you trouble, maybe try starting with a bit more polish on the brush and dragging inwards. This will make the outer end of the petal rounded and the inside skinner and might help with them bleeding together? Just a thought! Love them!

Your loops/editing are so well done! The flowers look great which is amazing bc I could see the struggle halfway through, but you worked your magic and turned them into your vision in the end 💅🏼💁🏻

They turned out super cute!! I also struggled a lot when first getting into nail art too.
Before you start GEL nail art, I recommend wiping off the sticky layer! For me I find that the sticky layer often spreads any nail art designs I paint on top. Secondly, use liner gels as they are more pigmented and you’ll get the design you want without having to go over the flowers too much. Dgel is a brand that has very pigmented liner gels and I know a lot of people use the Beetles gel liners as well.
This part is a little extra, but I like using a handheld lamp (you could use one that’s on a stand as well) to flash cure the design in place (5 seconds or so) and then it won’t budge while you do the other nails. After I finish the design I put it in the lamp for the full recommended time!

I would try using the dark green for the leaves first, cure, & then add the light green to make it pop more..
I’ve used light green gel colors and they don’t look bright enough 🤗🙃
