Nice pour driver. This is how he did it! Set your chains. Hit the PTO. Raise the bed to 45-60 degrees. Pop the gate locks and roll back watching your mirrors to stay centered and your gravel flow equal. The only reason backing is better is you can never be 100% sure how far one load will spread and don't want gaps or excess at the road. It is not something that just anyone can climb into a cab and do, but now that most dumps are automatic transmissions it made the art of working the clutch for a even pour obsolete.

I started doing that over 40 years ago The trick is besides having a gate that will open under load. Is to be moving before the gate is opened
