This man literally saved country music in the 80's . Allowing what would go on to be the likes of Garth Brooks, Keith Whitley,Alan Jackson and many others to walk through the door he kicked wide open He also single handedly brought me to country music when at 14 I heard Forever And Ever , Amen for the first time and couldn't get over the pure honesty of every sound that came out of his mouth.
