For those saying this is stupid, your roght. But it works, my dad did this literally on the sidebof the road in 2016 before he was imprisoned. Battery did fine for two more years. Again still stupid, but sometimes (if your a mechanic then you know especially on cars) that stupid can work

Used to do this all the time if someone had a loose terminal get blown off an otherwise good battery when trying to crank the engine.

Had one cheap guy get this on his truck. Stopped it for 30 mins and one exploded the other one was boiling , this after a week or so of getting them repaired
