We took a ride into the Pennsylvania Amish country to pick up some goodies at a nearby antique shop.

Since I’ve been kind of out of commission and unable to hike or really do much of anything outdoors. We stuck to a favorite fall activity. Praying that something changes soon and still very hopeful. But enough about that.

Ive been doing some camp chores at home, making beef jerky, making sure all the cast iron has a good seasoned coat (well until I ran the grill out of propane). Made a few batches of fruit leather and dehydrated lots of pineapple and Banana chips. Also made a batch of cucumber chips! We also made our first ever batch of pickles. Maybe we will do a video on some of these things in the future.. let me know in the comments if you would like to see a video on any of those topics in the future.

Now back to our regular scheduled program lol..

Anyway, Driving through the hillsides roads in the fall is always a favorite pastime. On the way home we made stops at a covered bridge, drove by some beautiful farm scenes, we saw a few horse and buggies. We also took a ride through the mountains in the Weiser State Forest Greenland tract. All of the colors of fall were on grand display!
