In this demo I prefer the tubes but only because the solid state sounds colder.

I'm only listening off a Samsung S22 Ultra but the tube option sounded louder with the same level of clean quality audio. This is why I eventually want a tube amp headphone audio setup.

I got 2 Bang and Olufsen separate systems
Cd , turntables, Dacs , subs and Beolabs and Townshend super tweeters on one of them
But if I had a big big room Iโd like a third system I heard Mcintosh rigged up with Sonus Faber and a Linn Sondek sounded very very good

Hey Gene , My dude Conor @ Prime Hifi (utuber) master restored and resto modded my Sansui Au-717
That's a 10/10 condition it was barley used ' every single electronic componete was changed out ' And even the rca were buffed out every board was taken out and cleaned even all the alps switches tone controls volume control all of them where opened up and cleaned and amp was almost Nos when i bought it ' it looks bran new even had high end 5 way binding post added and a power IEC inlet all componetes are lower ESR amp sounds amazing man I mean after 30 years of being an audiophile I have the perfect powerful amp Rated at 85watts lol measured way over 100 watts and it sounds like a tube amp lush n rich n powerful '

Me Yamaha AS 1200 doesn't even come close to the performance of the Sansui theirs something about those Ole fully discrete circuits with TO3a output transitors (metal ones) Check out Conors rebuild video '

Tube pre amps in combination with solid state power amps. Tube amps just cant play bass!

Tube amp sounds better to my ear. Wider scene and better focus on the mids. However both are outstanding here.
