I have PCOS, with all these symptoms and a few more. It's hard to deal with sometimes. And for the longest time I thought I was unlovable because my condition affects my physical appearance, but when I met my now husband he didn't care what I looked like. He loves me for me and I'm truly thankful and greatful for him. ๐Ÿ˜Š

As someone who was diagnosed over a decade ago. There seems to be no real treatment... So, sucks for us I guess? My favorite is "lose weight" when you're not overweight, and wait for it PCOS makes it very difficult to lose weight. Or "go on BC" when that often makes your periods and cramps worse when they are already unbearable. Another W for women's healthcare.....

The best thing that I discovered is to avoid processed sugar. It's okay to have sugar every now and again in the form of fruit, but avoid cakes cookies, candies, even certain breads all together. I discovered that it regulates my skin, my weight, and my overall well-being.

I had no idea that skin tags were a sign.
I got diagnosed with PCOS ages ago and I have all the other signs mentioned, but I also get obnoxious skin tags. It never occurred to me that theyโ€™d be related.

This describes signs of PCOS and seems to also hint at the underlying cause if it, insulin resistance. An issue that is not being addressed in society

Sad part is that there is no treatment for this, the world has advanced so much and we still don't have anything for it

My blood reports are fine, I went to the gynecologist, my ovaries are completely normal, still I have hair on my upper lip, chin and belly. The gynecologist said it could be because of the phenotype. It's funny that my legs' hair are thinner and lighter than the ones on my face and they grow so fast!

I was diagnosed with PCOS in middle school after having 6-month breaks in between my periods. My mother also had it and had to get an ovary removed, consequently. It's incredible how it's not just a problem with your ovaries; it affects your whole body.

One doctor said I can't have PCOS since I have no evidence of skin problems on my face. Before this, I have been on and off medroxprogesterone, and have had 3 d&cs to deal with excessive bleeding. I have always had good skin no matter what was happening in my health. Find the right doctors. I am glad the knowledge of PCOS. I have lost so much blood, I once had a hemoglobin of 6 when it should be 12-14.

I was diagnosed with PCOS, had a surgery and still have all these symptoms. Dieting and fasting are huge struggles even after years. Slow to loose but fast to gain. My family knew about PCOS and this surgery but they choose to be ignorant. I guess it's easy to shout ' you're fat' or 'just loose weight' or 'don't be lazy'.

Please check with your doctor but for me, dealing with PCOS all my freaking life, inositol is what has helped me a lot! And (hate to say it ๐Ÿ˜–) but losing weight with healthy diet and excercise... good luck all

recently diagnosed with PCOS, & i struggle with most of these. i am lucky to have a great dr who prescribed me metformin (a medication to help with my insulin resistance) and suggested i take berberine 1000mg supplement 2x a day (a naturally forming enzyme that helps regulate hormones, and therefore will hopefully help to lower the high levels of testosterone in my body). just sharing in case there is any other women who were recently diagnosed but donโ€™t feel as though their dr is suggesting enough treatment for them!
