Yes. I really enjoyed the weapon durability. At first when i was dumb lol. I broke all my weapons and i had a bow but no arrows. I basically almost gave up. Cause i couldnt find or fight anything. I knew where a camp was but couldnt attack. After a while of going around and failing and trying different things. I was bad lol. i went for it and made it out with a few arrows. Shot the lookout then the bokoblins. And thats what got me into the game. The fact where i figured out how to do things myself and i learned from the breaking. The fact that the weapons break made me feel like i had to be careful but also take advantage of what i have and what i can do with my surroundings

For the people that hate the weapon durability i have a slight alternative

Get a high durability weapon of your choice, when it begins to oose durability go to death mountain
(Spoilers for new players beyond this point)

There will be these octopuses that shoot projectiles, look for the ones that inhale, drop your weapon, let it inhale it and a sparkle effect will appear, it will then shoot it back out at you so be prepared for that

Afterwards the durability should be completely fixed and there might be a added buff to the weapon also

Happy hunting

Edit:Forgot to mention, this works in totk and botw

No. This is a bandaid solution. They needed to completely scrap weapon durability as it was. Make weapons far more durable, repairable with a money dump, and simply unusable after breaking so you never lose the weapon.

I always hated weapons durability. Its was just a bunch of annoying busywork for me. I would have preferred never had it to begin with

They actually made durability on every weapon worse just for the new fusing gimmick.

I don't like it. Better to just gain weapons as you progress. Weapon Durability annoying and guaranteed it will have bugs upon release

I like the concept, but it was poorly done. Increase the durability of average weapons a bit but also make the master sword unbreakable. It’s the blade of evil’s bane! C’mon.

The durability in Botw adds realism. And adds another level of depth to the game

I've stopped playing botw due to this mechanic. The mechanic is not bad but it is not made for everyone. This time I'll check the reviews before I buy the game and check if the changes suits me. But I doubt it...
